A free bluegrass and old-time music concert performed by students, alums, and instructors in the Junior Appalachian Musicians program is planned for Saturday, April 21 at 2 pm at Stecoah Valley Center. This concert is presented by the Blue Ridge National Heritage Area (BRNHA) on behalf of the N.C. Arts Council in celebration of the 50th -anniversary celebration of the North Carolina Arts Council. The concert, which is part of a three-concert series JAMming Across the Blue Ridge, offers the public a unique opportunity to experience up-and-coming traditional musicians from the mountains of North Carolina. The Stecoah concert will feature representatives from (John C. Campbell) Folk School JAM, Stecoah Valley TAPS, Jackson and Swain counties JAM programs. The concert will be in honor of Daylan Carver.
